Gen is an M.O. Hunter. "M" is the level of Maica, in a person. "O" is the level of optima in a person. Malica is what causes people to comit evil acts. While optima is purity and innocence. Gen's job as an M.O. Hunter of the southern orginization is to reap the M from peoples souls. Unlke the northern organization that reaps the O from peoples souls. Gen's true ulterior motive is to find the M.O. and object of perfect balance of M and O said to have the power to even revive the dead. He saves a strange little girl named Elle's life, and she starts to follow him around reffering to him as "daddy". The level of O in the girl strikes at Gen's heart and he takes her in.
