Whether it be eating too much chocolate or liking Brittany Spears, we've all got a few.
I'll start off with one of my worst ones.

My secret guilt is liking a cover from the across the universe movie than an original from the Help album!!! D:

As the description says, what manga series do you dislike which everyone else likes?
This often comes across my mind as I'm looking through the updates on OM (Oh come on! They're just so much faster than here!) and I noticed there's a lot of popular series that I dislike. The most prominent one for me is fruit basket but I still think it's a well made series with appealing art and a nice story line. The only thing that really holds it back for me is that I'm far from the correct demographic. Males my age all have emasculation complexes and have to play call of duty while watch transformers twice a day. The real two big ones for me are Naruto and Mahou Sensei Negima.

Naruto is... well... You know.
used to be great and entertaining then... Euhrg...
DAMN YOU SHIPPUDEN!
It's just the sheer decline of everything from well developed characters to an interesting plot. Shippuden pretty much just turned the series from very entertaining to something that tried too hard to be epic. Remember that time Hinata confessed to Naruto? NEITHER DO I!

As for negima, there's actually a better reason for it.
Negima for me was always Ken Akamatsu's attempt to go from funny fan service to battle series. Although some of the fights are entertaining and it's nice to see Negi grow up and develop his powers, it's not anything really special and if I wanted to see a great fighting series, I'd just re-read the older bleach chapters. I guess it was just trying to be everything and that's what ruined it for me. Is it a romance? Comedy? Battle? Adventure? You could claim it's all of these and more but it's a little too broad if you ask me. I felt I was sucked in and forced to read it at the beginning when I heard it was done by the same man who did love hina but the romance was awkward, even from the beginning, and I soon realised that it's not anything worth mentioning.

So tell me series that are or were popular but you dislike.

Prince of persia is one of the best, and I mean BEST, ubisoft games ever only rivaled by assassin's creed, splinter cell, and possibly rayman. The premises of the game is that you're a bad ass dude running around with a huge sword killing evil monsters with your main love interest, bickering like an old married couple, while trying to save the world from an old man. The plot is strong and the movie like atmosphere, while not feeling forced, really sets the mood. The elaborate scenery and the - Okay, I'll get to the point. THERE'S GOING TO BE A MOVIE!

Yeah, you heard me right. A movie. Although the plot and the concepts are definitely strong enough for a solid seating... we know hollywood's going to screw it up. I mean come on! I know it's really popular and is strongly praised but one form of media does not usually transfer well to another. Actors can't sing, singers can't act (except for beyonce), wrestlers can only wrestle, tv shows don't make good movies, and games don't make good movies. The only exception may be hitman but whatever. I mean look at silent hill! I'm going to be terrified at the new halo movie...

Long story short, it's a BAD idea.

After watching a few episodes of Naruto abridged again, I noticed it mentioned 'syndromes' of particular plot devices of a series. If you've watched the series, you'll be looking back and laughing. If you haven't, then you'll be wondering what the hell I'm talking about.

I'll make a few examples of my own.

Yasuhiro Kano Syndrome:

A well made series ending abruptly by being canceled. (Damn you Mx0 and pretty face)
Named after the author of those two series.

Yugioh syndrome:

A well made series turned terrible by a dubbing company by a large company.
Named after yugioh, which was turned terrible by 4kids.

Bleach Syndrome:

Any series that has neglected the main character for more than 15 chapters in a row.
Named after the recent chapters of bleach.

YOUR TURN!

Naruto: Ha ha... this so is damn boring...
But I'm happy to see that fishy is back

Bleach: WOAH!!!! KICK ASS!!!
This is getting really good! Usually I'm not in for the whole emo thing but it totally works here and Ichigo looks so damn cool. I loved this one and it was an entertaining read. I just guess I had protagonist withdrawal from it being OVER TWENTY CHAPTERS! Great read!
